In this edition of the Future of the Music Business industry veteran and former EMI Sr.VP, Ted Cohen reveals the true story!  Ted discusses Napster's "Congressman's Daughter" campaign in which they lobbied Congress to create a special loophole in the Copyright Law to allow Napster to operate without the consent of the labels, and when that failed, Napster offered a paltry flat fee in comparison to what the record companies were earning from CDs. In sum, Napster made the record companies an offer they had to refuse, instead of an offer they couldn't refuse.

Blues fans: Must see city. My night at Legends, seeing Buggy Guy, him signing my t-shirts, and new jacket I got at Legends was so priceless, I cannot describe the feeling, it was beyond Skin Deep ( recent song title from Buddy's new album).

Get your ass to Chicago one day, and you will see what I mean. Canadians are well treated there, so no worries.
